Tuesday was also an exciting day as not only was it Alma's birthday, but my one-year anniversary as Director. Wow. In some ways it's flown by, in others it gone very slow. But I've loved every minute of it and do not regret it for a moment. Jacci has also been enjoying her retirement. I checked in with her and she was just at the beach. On top of loving the beach she's been enjoying the "sun, blue skies, peacefulness, sand, doggie park, great neighbors, shells, gardens and quietness. While I totally love it here, my heart will always have FFRC in it. I miss the resident cats, the volunteers, all the FFRC friends and that awesome rescue work. It's in me and I still love it all. We are doing good here. Have met wonderful neighbors. Worked in the gardens 1 1/2 hours yesterday. Just got back from getting a boatload of rocks for the gardens! You all take care. Sometime when we are able, we will visit. Big hugs and lots of love." I'm so happy they are doing great! It makes it all the better.
Yesterday (Saturday) we had the adoption of our very adorable little CATch. She had her spay on Thursday and her family was just so excited to get her. They came all the way from North Carolina just for her! And they are keeping her name, isn't that wonderful? I'm sure just miss her like crazy, but that means we can take in more kitties who need our help and that's what it's all about, even though it hurts the heart just a little when they go.
I did recently get an update from Murph's family, and he is just THRIVING! He fit in immediately and they were kind enough to send lots of pictures of how much he's enjoying his new life. That just makes me so happy.
In this week ahead, we have the adoption of Barnabas on Monday at 10:00am, Cosmos dental and neuter on Tuesday, as well as weights and nails, and boxes. I have also started college classes for Veterinary Technician, I am LOVING this so very much and so grateful to be lucky enough to get to actually see what I'm learning every single day with the rescue work. How amazing!
Well, I'll wrap this up for today, I sure hope you all have an amazing Sunday. Thank you so much for watching and just the never-ending support you give. We can never thank you enough. In forever friendship ~ Megan and the Cats
