The cats are so so excited! They know that Santa Paws brought another load of goodies for them!  Many thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Santa Paws (Bill and Angie L) for the time, organization and shopping they did to accomplish Kitty Christmas for the Rescue center.  Four big loads have now arrived. The shelves are stocked, cabinets are full, sheds look happily restocked (including tp & pt!!).

Friday was our Kitty Christmas Day, recognizing our FFRCNation for all the wonderful gifts! We did a presentation at 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm and 3 pm.  Just fun things that we hope the viewers enjoyed, to show our appreciation.  It was fun for us, including making a yummy cat cake for the cats as part of their celebration, which us humans joined in too (made us $500!).

We also received 4 pallets of litter--worth $2,742.58.  Two of the four pallets are here. The other 2 are ordered and will be here shortly!

Medical supplies were ordered and paid for--worth $3,525.94.  Includes antibiotics, soreness meds, flea products, eye/ear ointments, vaccines, worming products, etc.  A great gift!

Our $1,429.33 vet bill was paid off! The cats were thrilled. And then......bonus! We have $2,397.95 as credit. A great thing as we have some dentals already scheduled!

Today was a HumaneOhio surgery day. A very good day as this is what makes the difference in the overpopulation problem. We sent up 53--a great number! This came to 23 females and 30 males! It's a beautiful site to see that neuter/spay truck pull in! The check ins went smoothly.

We've had more adoptions!
12/8--Sissy adopted, one of Veronica's kittens. Such a beautiful kitten. All purrs and kneading to have her own home!
12/8--Little Missy Big Stuff--was adopted and went into a home with another FFRC cat. Missy will have her very own bandana with her name on it!
12/8--Epona and Nala were adopted...together and to one of our volunteers (Barb).  They have an awesome home. I've seen a picture and sure looks like happy cats!
12/9--Karleen was adopted. She actually went into the home of the family that found her, with her horribly fractured leg. She is such a beauty!
12/13--Shamballie--yes, our PawMart cat, previously my mom's cat, once a Porchie and now belongs to our wonderful friend, Beth. Pictures and notes show that all is good. And happy...it's the best!

Popcorn has not been officially adopted yet but probably will be! Our friend who adopted Little Missy Big Stuff brought her here to be looked at this past week. She had been pitifully crying and crying. Physically, she looked great, but something was certainly "off".  After checking her out, I put her on the floor and off she went to play with the other kitties, happy as could be. My feeling is she missed that companionship. So, one of her closest friends, Popcorn, became an emotional therapy cat for a cat! Popcorn went into the crate with Missy and went to her home to give her confidence. It seems to be working and all seems peaceful now!

I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, from myself and the cats. You folks that have become our FFRCNation are truly the nicest people anywhere...so kind, so compassionate, so sharing.and have become friends of ours, here at FFRC. Have a peaceful holiday season.

**Remember, this Saturday, Steve and I will be leaving for the OBX in NC.  I've always wanted to experience Christmas there and so this year, we shall! We will be back on 12/26, late in the evening. During this time, I am planning on trying to keep off my phone as much as possible.  The volunteers and moderators know how to reach me though! Everything is covered here. Things may be a bit different, but all is good!**

Remember, our Kitty Christmas will be on this Friday. Because of Covid and our wish not to have 30-35 people here at one time helping with how we use to do Kitty Christmas, we will have a day of cat fun with the webcam viewers! We have had 3 visits from Santa Paws. The pics that were posted on FB, shows how awesome our FFRC friends have been. Our shelves look much better. This gives me a sense of peace and feeling good about our inventory. This Friday, December 10 we will have some fun things going on for our viewers. This happens at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.  There's stories to tell, kitties and cats to show, drawings to be done to show our appreciation, guessing games on our very own FFRC cats, a display of the folks who donated to Kitty Christmas........all in fun and to show you our appreciation! Come join the fun!

We had a Flash Sale on Dec. 1 for which we are grateful. This one was a whopper and brought in $1404.  These Flash Sales helps us with our month to month bills. Much appreciation for your support.

Strawberry Field was adopted 12/4. She went to an awesome home. I've already seen a picture of her in her home and she looks very content. Her new mama says she hasn't stopped purring!

We had a return. Nala was returned last week. This is the the kitten that was found by my daughter, outside the Hospice door. Dawn brought her home after work. It didn't take long for her to be adopted. But, her family didn't have time for her, between their jobs and traveling and so was returned.  She is an extremely beautiful kitten--tiger/calico  mix with bunny soft medium fur.  She sure has been having fun playing!

We've seen Killion since she was adopted. Oh my.....she is so so loved. Her family thinks she is wonderful!

The latest on Cupid is great. He is doing super well, no neurological problems and continues to be a sweetiepie.

We had HumaneOhio last week. We sent up 45 kittens and cats. This came to 28 females and 17 males. The check in and check outs went smooth. Many thanks to Lynnette, Gem, Becky, Debbie and Mary Braid. Right now we are on pause for taking more spay/neuter surgery appointments. We are already booked to the end of January and don't have the Feb. schedule yet. Just a temporary pause!

If you hear thundering going on inside the rescue center, that would be Eggs, Wuzzy, Popcorn and Rascasse.  They are amazing--running, flipping, climbing and just having a lot of fun!

We have several more cats/kittens on hold. Those would be---Sparrow and Popcorn (together) and  Missy Big Stuff.  Plus, we have possibilities for Shaz and Karleen.

The video playing continues on my desk. Nyota and Shaz especially loves it. Anything that moves is good--squirrels, fish, birds, chippies--it's all fun. Nyota tried very hard to get the squirrel this morning and almost knocked the monitor off!

Right now in the purple office, Derecho has succeeded in getting himself up to the second level of the kuranda towers. He usually does this twice a day, for a nap. Magic is sound asleep on my desk--he is my assistant. Karleen is also on the kuranda tower, napping. Popcorn is chasing something--only she knows what it is! Vernon is in his Dodger's Pen for a quickie nap.  Sometimes he enjoys going in there for quiet time. Nala just buzzed by so fast it was a blur--she's on Popcorn's trail.

Take care, have a great week. All is well here. Derecho and Magic says so!
