Our cup runneth over.  Actually, our Thumper Rooms and quarantine condos are running over with kittens.  Here's the newbies:

Sunday Rose--female, black, birthday of 5/16/21, arrived at 10 weeks of age on 7/25/21. She was out in those torrential rain storms we had. A kind person took her in and dried her. Unfortuantely, she also got her tail in a mouse trap. It is healing and I'm getting hopeful that the tail end won't need to be removed. A sweetie that totally loves playing!

Elio--male, gold tiger, birthday of 5/21/21, arrived at 9 weeks of age on 7/24/21. He has been camping out at Dr. P's due to being hit by a car. The radial nerve was severed, which then required an amputation of the left front leg.  His name means sunshine/spirited.

Two cats were returned today. Both were from the same family and were super loved. Only because of health problems with a family member did they have to be returned:

Whimsey--originally arrived 12/27/16 and was adopted 1/28/17. Arrived at 9 weeks of age. She has a white body with a grey splotch on her head and a gray tail. Her birthday is 10/25/16.

Teanna--originally arrived 11/5/16 and was adopted 1/28/17. Arrived at 3 1/2 weeks of age. She is a brown tiger. Her birthday is 10/12/16.

Both are super nice, calm and have been moved up to the Paddy's Place so they have room to move about. Won't be long until they are in the Main Area.

Nala--female, calico, DLH, birthday of 6/11/21, arrived at 7 weeks of age on 7/30/21. She was found at Defiance Hospice and is ever so sweet.  She was full of parasites--earmites, fleas, lice and roundworms. These problems are already being worked on and she must feel so much better already.  I think this kitten was born with a purr because she has it mastered!

Morrigan--female, muted calico, birthday of 5/25/21, arrived at 9 1/2 weeks on 7/30/21. She was found with an injured right front leg--her radial nerve is severed and will require an amputation as the leg is completely useless.  Her left rear foot also has abrasions. Morrigan also has severe earmites. Another sweet girl that is calm and friendly.

We have names now for the litter of 5! Their fleas are of course, completely gone. They are transitioning from the bottle onto plates of food. Messy babies!

Fuzzy--gold tiger/white, male, gold dot on back of neck

Wuzzy--gold tiger/white, male, has "splotches" of white on back

Eggs--gold tiger/white, male, all gold on back

Danu--black tiger/white, female, pink nose

Patty Ann--black tiger/white, female, black nose

Auntie Peggy and I, with a heavy heart, have some sad news.  Our little Orfana has passed.  She was never 100% healthy from the beginning. What gives me comfort though, is the time spent with Peggy, which was full of love.  I know this is hard on Peggy, but as I've told her---if a life is going to be short, at least this kitten was filled with so much love. And that is what is so important. Thank you, Auntie Peggy for making this life matter to the utmost.

This weekend starts our Fun-Raiser! It ends at 9 am on Weds. On that same day at 1:00, we will have BOXES (Zelda is so excited!), followed by the main drawing which is then followed by consolation drawings!  Every penny of this fun-raiser will go towards our roof repair.

We had noticed a couple weeks ago, during a heavy rain, that we had a leak, right above the counter by the refrigerator. We had a roofing company come this week to take a look and the news isn't good. The present roof is 16-17 years old. Not that old, but it's in very poor condition. Not only are the sheeting boards weak and soft but so are the 2 x 4's. This will require a major roof repair that covers the Kitty Kabana, Purple Office, the entire Main Area and all rooms off of this area, plus the Storage Room and Welcome Room.  This has to be done. It will take a bit of time to be worked into their work schedule. We'll figure this all out but bottom line.....this is a repair we have no choice in doing.

We have had 2 more adoptions!

Rupert was adopted on 7/30.  Rupert wasn't here very long but because of his handsomeness and sweetness, he found a home quickly!

Dee Dee was adopted today, 7/31. She sure did like her new family and was rubbing all over them, definitely telling them that she was the one!

June Bug is doing great--all his maggot wounds are now closed. The fur still has to grow back though.

Jasper as one more week to go before we remove his wire sutures from his button/lip surgery.

Fendi and Frontigny--the two cemetery kitties are doing great. They have finally recovered from their very rough start. Their appetites are good, their energy level is very high. Two cuddlies!

As I sit here, Zelda and CDot are on my desk. Asha is in her usual spot to get her ears rubbed. Spiker is here in his bed with his tongue half hanging out. And there goes Jasper and Bushie trotting by, just being cute!  It's a good day here.
