Happy Thanksgiving month!  The kitties and cats are thinking of all the things they are thankful for. I heard some thoughts as to warm beds, soft blankies, snackers, chickie treats, sunshine coming in the windows, lots of hugs and TLC, cat walks to zoom on, being healthy! I also heard a couple times about them being thankful for that "thing on the wall that we all talk to! They know good things come from that "thing on the wall"!  They are still building their lists.

We've had 5 more adoptions!

10/26--- Patty Ann and Fuzzy were adopted together. They went into another really loving home. I've seen a few pictures already and they sure look happy!

10/29---Ian and Tycho were adopted together. Two wonderful kittens getting to live in the same home! Happy days for them and their new family!

October--Wigglesworth. He had made a trip to the vet's office for a check up. A person there ended up falling in love and adopted him. He is doing very well and is a purring machine!

We had a Flash Sale last week.  This sale went towards our utility bills--it brought in $1,352.  A wonderful amount of help! Many thank yous.

We also had $148.17 donated to FFRC from Best Friends Animal Society for the ResQWalk.  That much, simply by walking, running or biking! It's amazing how it adds up.  Many thanks for turning those miles into dollars for FFRC.  All it takes to participate is a smart phone with the app ResQWalk!

We now have Cupid in the Paddys Place room, hopefully adjusting to be out and about in the Main Area.  He's quite a nice cat. Epona is out and about and a very happy cat. Such a beautiful torti. Princess Tiger Lilly is very happy being in the Main Area. A nice quiet adult. She especially likes the Kitty Kabana room.

The new washer is HERE!  We are so so happy about this and very grateful to have a working washer again.  Many thanks to everyone who helped to pitch in to make this a bit easier for us--- people donated money to do laundry at the laundromat, volunteers took laundry both to their home and to the laundromat, people donated money to go towards the washer.  It is here and paid for and we are so thankful. We can't do the giant loads in this one but no matter..........we have a working washer!  The dryer is still working nicely.

Saturday was our physical day, by Dr. Darcy.  We did 95% of the exams that we wanted to, here in the rescue center.  Most were perfect (of course!) but we do have a few that need a dental. We will be making those appointments. We were also able to get 6 Porchie cats in for their physicals too.

We are preparing for winter.  The furnace guy was here today and checked all 5 furnaces here on the property. All seem to be in good working order!

We took in a young adult, another torti on 10/30.  Her name is Karleen. She was found on a property and brought to FFRC.  Her rear left leg has 2 major complete fractures. Plus she was absolutely ravenous--so thin and so hungry. She went up to Dr. Darcy's today. X-rays tell a sad story of how bad the fractures are. Hoping her surgery for amputation will be this afternoon. Karleen is a nice cat and was very happy to have her tummy filled and a warm bed.

This Weds. at 11:00 is another Flash Sale! We are trying to get some of our flash sale inventory out! It's wonderful because these are all donated items!

This past week we received some heavy rain. Again, was so grateful for a new good roof. I'm afraid the kitties and cats would've had to get their life jackets out had the roof not been replaced.

The investigation in regards to Cupid (the arrrow cat) continues. A couple leads are being worked on. The reward for solid information is now at $2,000.  We truly want a conviction for Cupid.

Take care, everyone and know that you are very appreciated by myself and the cats and kitties!
