The 2 big gold/white boys have "graduated"! They went from the back Thumper's Room where they were there for days and days. They simply didn't want to leave. And then, we moved them to Paddy's Place to start "thinking about" coming out to the Main Area. After several more days, the adventure began. A few feet out and then........it was like.......we can do this! They are both doing great and relaxing now. Bub especially likes the Kitty Kabana and Ringo enjoys the Purple Office. Once they really relax, we can start looking for homes for them. Two awesome big boys!

We have had three adoptions.

Eloise--adopted 1/10. She went to a great home. She is one of the cats that was found in the cemetery. An awesome girl!

Gheenzoe--adopted 1/17. This is our polydactyl silver kitten. He was found on a busy street in Defiance. He went into a home with kids to keep him busy!

DeeJay--adopted today, 1/20. He went into a home of a very nice young man. He will have lots of TLC and fun playtime with his new dad.

We have some updates.

Sparrow--yes, she's hurt her rear right leg. She is a kitten who does not know what "be settled, take it easy" means. She is a very busy girl. Not sure if that right knee is going to get her through a life time of her busyness.  Dr. Darcy still considers the possibility of doing surgery on that knee to tighten it up.  In the meantime, she is a toughie. Her sutures come out in a few days.

Myles--he's an ornery little boy! Auntie Peggy is taking good care of him. He comes back on Thursdays to get checked over and get any needed updates. He's finally growing!

Nugget is changing colors! He no longer is black and white. He has a lot of grey mixed in now. And he's finally getting it right--no biting. He is doing so much better. Makes me happy because now we can start looking for a home for him! He's just a kitty and didn't know that that wasn't a polite thing to do.

Magic--poor sweetie has a terrible abscess on his bum. And since he has no rear legs, that bum is super important, as he "floats" along on that. He is on very good antibiotics, bum soaks, soreness meds. Tomorrow he goes to see Dr. Darcy who will do surgery to try and get the edges together again after cleaning the wound out thoroughly. We don't know why this started but he needs your good thoughts and prayers for tomorrow. He is being a good sport about everything.

We had two dentals done this week. It's taken us a while to get all of our dentals in but we are finally caught up! Yesterday, we sent Jackson (a Covie) and Greyson (a Firecat) to Dr. P's. They did great. We still have them in the back Thumper's Room. This way we can get their meds in them but in a few days, they will go back to their home areas as that is where they are more comfortable. Greyson had 11 teeth extracted and Jackson had 4. Now they have pearly whites!

Tomorrow we have an adoption. This is for Mirabeau! She is going into a home to be best friends with an elderly gentleman. She is going to love this!

Saturday, our sweet, silly Purlissa will be leaving us too. Billypogo is kind enough to transport her to the Ohio/Pennsylvania state line. There, she will be picked up by her forever family and will be joining a home with other cats, including other Persian FFRC cats!

We had a much needed Flash Sale yesterday! This sale brought in $854! This will go towards our utility bills for this month! Thanks to the Flash Mods, those that provided the items for the sale and those that purchased the items.

I love hearing how our kitties and cats are doing in their new homes. Here's a sample:From Emily who adopted Fio one year ago. "What a wonderful year it's been and I wanted to thank you again for taking the chance with us. He is a snuggle machine and is SO big now! One thing that hasn't changed is how much he loves to play!".

I'm sorry I got behind on the blog and getting my thank yous in there. It's important to me to recognize and say a big thanks to all that support FFRC. YOU make it possible for us to do what we do! For that, I am grateful. And I am always grateful for your good thoughts and prayers. So many ways to show support!

As I close this blog, I feel it's a good place to work. Zelda is on my desk, Nugget and Ramsay are wrestling in the Ferrari, Asha is behind me so she can get chin rubs every few minutes. Vernon is up high above the desk, looking down and watching everyone. Magic is in Dodger's Pen eating a late lunch. CDot just arrived and launched himself on my shoulder. Zasha is curled up in a deep sleep on the file cabinet.  All is peaceful.

Always know that if I make an error or something isn't quite right, to please let me know. It's ok! I'll always be the first to acknowledge my errors.

Here is a great quote from Edwin Elliot---"By being yourself you put something wonderful into the world that was not there before."
