Two more adoptions!
Mirabeau was adopted 1/22. She went to an elderly gentleman who recently lost his pet and needed company. She is doing just that--keeping him company! I've seen pictures and both Mirabeau and the gentleman look happy. She has found her place!
Purlissa--she is now a Pennsylvania resident. She went to live with Tammy and Keith who have adopted other Persians from us. From the pictures, she looks awesome and quite happy! This will be her forever home. Big thanks to Billypogo for transporting her from FFRC to the state line.
Magic is doing terrific. His repair surgery was this past Thursday. Dr. Darcy did an amazing job on his bum. It looks great and is healing nicely. We're trying to do minimal amount on the floor until his sutures are out. He's doing ok with this for now. He spends time on my desk and naps. He spends time in Dodger's Pen during the day. And at night, he bunks in with Ramsay in June's Room with a rug on the floor and a cushie bed. He adapts so nicely!
The two dentals from last week are also doing well. They went back to their appropriate homes on Thursday. Both are eating well.
Sounds like a snow/sleet storm may be coming later today. All is prepared on the farmyard though. All the farm animals and the cats have good clean shelters. Sometimes the Porchies like to play run and slide in the snow on the sidewalks! The Firecats also have the A-Frame for shelter. The bird feeders are filled and will be well used today!

We see it in cats and we see it in people--the gift of health. And sometimes we forget to take that to our heart, of how important it is to be thankful for that good health. We've experienced a lot in our Rescue Center the past couple weeks with some of our cats. Coralie, Magic, Sparrow, Zasha, Jackson, Greyson, Mary Catherine. I'm thankful that at this moment, all is on a better level and for that I am thankful. I am also thankful for being able to pay the bills for all of these medical needs.
And now to people health. You all take good care, stay healthy. Without going into too much details, we have two people very close to FFRC that are in major medical need of prayers and good thoughts. Just a blanket of those prayers and thoughts will help us. And that is also why I have not been here too much for the past week. But, as always, the volunteers have it covered. Thank you for your help.
