Snow is suppose to be coming tonight. We've had a fairly easy winter so far. Today we will make sure the cats and farm animals are all snug and ready. Shovels are ready, snow plow will do the parking lot, food is stocked everywhere, bird feeders are full, red heat lights are all working, blankies in beds, electric water bowls are plugged in--we are ready.

We had a special donation from a sweet 5 year old girl, named Ella. She and her mom/dad-Scott and Sarah-adopted two kittens from FFRC. They are Celeste and Beulah, now named Covey and Fizzy. Ella and her mom came this week, with Ella bearing an armload of Valentines that she made for FFRC and the kitties. She also donated $25 of her very own money by doing chores. The outside cats sure did enjoy her! Thank you Ella and to your family. Happy Valentine's Day to you too!
Two Flash Sales coming up! The first one is Feb. 3, Weds. at 11:00 an, It's a Keep Warm Kind Of Flash Sale--full of blankets, handwarmers, scarfs, crate pads, leggydews, biggydews, throws! All are really so nice!
The second Flash Sale will be the following week--time/date to be announced. This one will be a Warped Flash Sale! Yes, we received a giant box, stuffed full of Warped items! Fun times ahead!
Magic is doing very well. He gets 2-3 times on the floor daily (short 15 minute times) so he can exercise. He is so good about being patient and spending his day time in Dodger's Pen and in June's Room with Ramsay at night time. Won't be long before his sutures will come out. His incision area looks very good.
This past Thursday was our HumaneOhio surgery day! We sent up 37 cats--17 females, 19 males and also a cat that needed an eye enucleation. Here's something incredible--almost 100% of those females were ALREADY IN HEAT. This is the time to please get those cats spayed! It takes a quick 9 weeks to have a litter of kittens. Those kittens born this early spring can indeed have kittens of their own in the fall. Please...........be a part of the solution.........get a cat spayed or neutered!
We've heard from Purlissa's family. She is doing wonderful and has settled in very quickly and easily! What a sweetie she is. So happy for her.
Mirabeau continues to do great too! She loves to play. Ping Pong balls are a favorite of hers! And she's a talk--loves to chatter while she plays.
I say this every year at this time! Enjoy this quiet, more relaxed time! Our adoptions have been tremendous this past year and I've been thrilled with the loving homes. We actually have just a few cats left that need homes and we continue working on that. While we are working hard on and encouraging spays/neuters, baby season is really just around the corner.
Myles was here this past Thursday. He is growing and now is bigger and ever so sweet! Auntie Peggy is taking such good care of him. He was down on the floor checking things out. Won't be long until he comes back and stays.
Just amazing--this week we have still been receiving Christmas cards! The mail has been rather pokey but eventually things make it here and there. Many of the items that we have sent out are still on their travels to their destinations too. If you have a worry though, feel free to contact us and we can check tracking numbers on most things.
I love Mother Teresa's quotes--here's another favorite: "Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.
Take care everyone! Whether you are a chatter, a lurker, a mod, an admin, a supporter by funds or good thoughts and prayers---YOU are appreciated.
