Happy Caturday everyone! It's been so very beautiful here, the cats are just loving the open windows and fresh air. Us people have been loving it too. Cindy and Jimmy have been working outside getting all the winter gear away and summer furniture out. It's been lovely. The peacocks, ducks and chickens have also been enjoying. We have bigger water tubs out and they are quite enjoying splashing around. And the new ducks that came from the humane case in town? Well they are doing just ducky! Cindy has them trained to waddle back into their pins every night. She's the new office Duck Wangler!
The kitties of FFRC are also doing just wonderful. On the 27th, Cavendish also went to his new home and also doing amazing. On March 31st, Ninja and Chumley went to their new home and last I heard they were doing wonderful!
Also on 3-26, the Y kitties arrived. This is Yamina, Yama and Yellowstone. Boy they were quite a surprise! I came in on Sunday morning, and found a crate at the end of our driveway. I knew it wasn't ours. Once I parked, I got out and walked up to the crate and saw a little kitten. Head popping up. Oh dear, a new kitty. When I looked further, not only was it one kitty, it was three! Their date of birth is January 4, 2023. Yama is a small brown tiger, while Yamina and Yellowstone are brown tiger and while. They look very similar, except Yellowstone has a small brown splotch by his nose. They are all super sweet kitties.
On 4-8, the box kitties arrived. There is four. All super sweet kitties. The first is Coral II. She is a beautiful long hair calico girl. The second is Carlton III. He is a stunning long haired black and silver kitty. The third is Amazon II. Another beautiful calico girl but she is short haired. And last but not least, we have Ellen. A pretty torti girl. Once they are available, I know they'll just go super soon. They are so very pretty and handsome.
On 4-10, a former FFRC alum arrived back to us. His name is Tasco and he's the handsomest Burmese. His date of birth is August 25, 2009. While his owner loved him very very much, she was left in a health situation and unable to attend to him. We are happy to have him back and will ensure that he goes to the best of homes.
The last few weeks have been trying to say the least. We had lost 4 of Tigress' kittens and our sweet kitty Blackberry. Blackberry had FIP, such an awful horrible disease. Wheeler was also found to have it, but luckily we seemed to catch it early and have begun alternative treatment for him. We are hopeful.
Tigress is doing well and her two remaining kittens, Magellan and Rumpelstiltskin are going great. I think we can safely say they seem to be over the virus issue that took the others sweeties. Magellan and Rumpel and eating like champs, and gaining weight like wildfire! So incredibly happy.
Visitors, visitors, we have visitors! Our lovely chatter Vickie and her husband are here visiting until Monday, then Monday night Marco from Germany will be here! It's sure gonna be a fun time! The kitties will enjoy the extra attention for sure!!!
